Study-friendly lamps emphasize strict control of optical parameters, such as no blue light hazard rating (RG0), low glare (UGR < 19), high uniformity, and sufficient illuminance (national AA-level standard). They often feature ergonomic lamp arms and timed rest reminders, specifically designed for teenagers and those who read for extended periods. Office-oriented lamps prioritize illuminance range and adjustability. Multi-axis articulated lamp arms and rotatable lamp heads facilitate coverage of different work surfaces such as documents and computer screens. They typically have a wider color temperature range to meet the diverse needs of document processing and creative work. Decorative lamps focus on the artistic expression of light color and shape. They have a warmer color temperature and a wide adjustable brightness range, often used as accent light sources in bedrooms and living rooms. While their optical performance may not prioritize eye protection, they play a unique role in creating ambiance and spatial depth.

 

From the perspective of control methods and level of intelligence, desk lamps can also be divided into basic manual and intelligent interactive types. Basic manual desk lamps primarily use physical knobs or levers for dimming, offering a simple, stable, and reliable structure suitable for scenarios with limited functional requirements. Intelligent interactive desk lamps, on the other hand, incorporate touch, swipe, voice, or app-based remote control, enabling stepless adjustment of color temperature and brightness, scene mode switching (such as reading/computer/night mode), rhythmic lighting (simulating sunrise and sunset light changes), and integration with smart home devices, significantly enhancing flexibility and personalization.

 

Differences in materials and structural design also constitute important differentiators. Metal desk lamps are sturdy, durable, and have good heat dissipation, commonly found in professional offices or high-end study settings; those combining engineering plastics and wood emphasize lightweight design and home décor, often used in decorative or children's room environments. Structurally, heavy-duty bases and anti-slip designs enhance stability, while thin, cantilevered structures emphasize flexible adjustability; different structures cater to different space requirements and adjustment habits.

 

Overall, the differentiation of desk lamps encompasses multiple dimensions, including light source technology, scene functions, intelligence level, and material structure. Understanding these differences helps users make accurate selections based on their actual needs, and also enables manufacturers to optimize designs for specific market segments, driving the continuous evolution of desk lamps from simple lighting tools to scenario-based, health-oriented, and intelligent lighting environment solutions.
